As a charismatic mother-daughter duo, Dawn and Cher Hubsher have shared their wonderfully close relationship on several TV shows. They appeared in an episode of My Super Sweet 16 and currently star in TLC’s sMothered. Aside from this, they create Tiktoks together, host the Chattermouth Podcast, and are authors of the book A Bond That Lasts Forever.

They document and share their lives on all their platforms, hoping to inspire other mothers and their children to strengthen their own relationships and to help people realize that it’s never too late to create one if there is currently none.

Even though they have a close relationship, Dawn and Cher admit that it’s not a perfect one, and there have been ups and downs too. They tell us how they have managed to work through and overcome disagreements:

• Communicate. They have a podcast together, so this really helps them talk things out. Even without this, however, the key is to really just listen to what the other person has to say. Be selfless and more sensitive to what the other is trying to communicate with you, whether through words or actions. Make it a point to take time out of your day or week to touch base and share updates.
  
  
• Bond. Dawn and Cher have worked together several times already on different shows and public engagements, and they reveal that it’s not always easy working with family members. Often, it’s easier to get mad at them because of the comfort level that has been established. One way for them to keep their relationship going strong is to keep doing a hobby together. This could be anything that they both enjoy doing. 
  
  
• Be present. Put in effort and continuously show up. It’s important to let the other know that you are always there no matter what. It helps knowing that there’s always going to be someone they can count on. If you want to start building a closer relationship, just pick up the phone and start showing up, because we always have to start somewhere.
