Ep333: Achieving Quantum Breakthroughs With Peak Prosper Founder Scott Rowley
November 7, 2022
“Kathy, I’m going to Everest in 6 months.” Scott Rowley’s physical therapist thought he was crazy.
Much of his core identity is rooted in his athleticism, moving freely through the mountains, and connecting with people through meaningful conversations. After years of building up this identity, everything changed when Scott woke up one day with a debilitating inflammation that sent shooting pain from his left foot all the way up to his brain. The next year was spent going to see different doctors to try to figure out his diagnosis.
When Scott began going to physical therapy, it took him 3 months to get to the point where he could put his shoes back on. About 6 months later, he trekked all the way to the Everest Base Camp, climbed 4 peaks in the region, and did 4 mountain passes that were all over 18,000 feet. All this was made possible when Scott changed his belief system and the foundational elements that were driving his thoughts.
He shares 2 acronyms that can help you gain clarity, the belief and mindset operating system necessary to achieve your own quantum breakthrough:
E.M.O.S.: Entrepreneurial Mindset Operating System
This is what our minds are running on; this is what controls our behaviors, creates our visions, and dictates the results that we create in our lives. Our minds are quite similar to computer operating systems in such a way that they get outdated and can be vulnerable to viruses. To upgrade this operating system, Scott uses a foundational method:
The P.T.E.R.R. Method (Programming Thoughts, Emotions, Responses, and Results)
Our mind is operating based on what it believes to be true. It’s next to impossible for us to change our responses to create results if we do not go back to the fundamental element of our belief system and modify our worldview. Programming our beliefs is essential to changing the way we think. Different thoughts and emotions lead to new and better actions. Scott has noted that as he progressively built on this practice, not only did he restore his health and energy, he even achieved a higher level of performance than he’s ever had in the past.
There is a lot to unpack, and Scott has been so gracious to give away his Peak Performance Mindset Course to one of our lucky listeners!
